EFFICIENT DECK HAND
The aim of the EDH Training Course is to educate and train seafarers to meet and exceed the required competencies needed to perform functions at support levels on seagoing vessels for Certification of Ratings as part of a Navigational Watch.
This course is in accordance with Section A-II/5 of the STCW Code as well as Regulations 7 and the Third Schedule of the Shipping (Certification of Seamen) (Deck Ratings) Regulations of the laws of Trinidad and Tobago.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Not less than 18 years of age

Possession of a Steering Certificate

24 months of verifiable sea service in a deck capacity

Medical Certificate of Fitness

Completed Basic Training (Pre Sea)

Candidates pursuing the AB Ticket are required to obtain a Certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft (CPSC) and must have 36 months verifiable sea service when presenting to MSD.
